ZeLink - Blue-Eyed Beasts

Let me tell you, I LOVE Legend of Zelda. I'm a gamer girl as well as an otaku at heart. I loved Twilight Princess, it was something that went above epic-ness in my opinion. What I loved most was Link shifting into a wolf, because that's not only going where no game has gone before... but he was so cute!!
I was really inspired to do this drawing from a fanfiction I read recently (guilty fanfiction-addict right here... ), about the aftermath of Twilight Princess. It was basically about how Link was still able to transform into a wolf - I can't remember the explanation why - and somehow it affected Zelda too, so she turned into a wolf as well. The story was a lot better than I just made it sound, I promise you. Lol. Anyway it ends with Zelda abandoning her princess-status and living with Link. After reading it, I was compelled to draw this; Wolf Link and Zelda at Ordon Spring. Can you tell that's Ordon Spring? I hope so!
I'll tell you, I've never had to blend colors like I did for this picture, so the experience was interesting. Link's coloring was the hardest and took the longest because of all the blending. Now some people may disagree with his fur color. There's been many opinions about what his fur color truly is, but I'll clear it up right now. If you look at all official pictures of Wolf Link, you'll see Link's head, along his spine, and tail, is hinted with green, and everything else is charcoal gray with a creamy color. There's brown beneath his eyes and on the sides of his face. So he's not green, technically, but you can see that there is indeed a hint of green shade in there.
As for Zelda, I designed her based off the description from the fanfic, but added my own unique twists in there too. Her fur is brown (The color of her hair from Twilight Princess) and cream-blonde, with purple here and there. I designed her forehead to be similar to Link's. Most drawings of Wolf Zelda I've seen she has an actual crown, well, not here. The markings in her fur resemble her crown, pretty, huh? You know, they both look like they have crowns on their foreheads... Maybe they're animal royalty!!!
